SAVAGE GRACE debuted with a cut 'Sceptors Of Deceit' on the Metal Blade Records compilation album 'Metal Massacre II'. An EP, 'The Dominatress' quickly followed. Wishing to augment their sound, SAVAGE GRACE pulled in lead vocalist John Birke in time for recording of 'The Dominatress' EP. Birke departed to pursue mellower music. Birke, whose last shows with the band included gigs in San Francisco with SLAYER and EXODUS, actually found out about his dismissal second hand, the band announcing it on air during a radio interview.
