Sohail Rana is a Pakistani music composer for films and television. He was introduced by actor Waheed Murad in Pakistan film industry and gained popularity when singer Ahmed Rushdi sang his compositions in such films as Armaan (1966 film) and Doraha (1967 film). He is now based in Canada. Sohail Rana was born in Agra, British India, in the home of Urdu poets M. amp; Mr. ana Akbarabadi. The family moved to Pakistan soon after the independence of Pakistan in 1947.
