Extreme (Artist), . Fresh, funny, lovely, excellent music. I bought five for gifts.

The following is a table of songs recorded by the Beatles. While Bill Wyman of Vulture. com lists a set of 213 canonical recordings, there are over 280 songs listed on this page, with 73 of them being cover songs and the rest being original compositions. The group has also recorded several unreleased songs. The columns Song, Core catalogue release and Year show the song title, the release that appears in the Beatles' "core catalogue", and the year in which the song was released.

Live at the BBC (Beatles album). Live at the BBC is a 1994 compilation album featuring performances by the Beatles that were originally broadcast on various BBC Light Programme radio shows from 1963 to 1965.

Of the songs unreleased by The Beatles in 1968, perhaps the best known is Child Of Nature. It remained unreleased until Anthology 3, despite Lennon's various attempts to have it released by The Beatles or the Plastic Ono Band. Two of Lennon's songs, Mean Mr Mustard and Polythene Pam, were held back until 1969's Abbey Road, when they became part of the 'long medley'. Just one of Paul McCartney's songs – Junk – was unreleased by The Beatles, although they returned to it during the Get Back sessions in early 1969. It eventually found a home on McCartney's first solo album.

The Beatles were different. Most of their original album tracks could have been hits if they had been released as singles. And while the first few albums contained several covers of songs by (often black) American artists that the Beatles themselves loved, their interpretations did those songs justice too. But although all of the Beatles’ albums were good, some were better than others. Here are my nominations for the best five

Beatles Radio by the Album. Beatles Radio Calendar. Yesterday has some strong cover versions of the Fab’s tunes, with the performance of these lost songs central to Richard Curtis’ screenplay. Many other films have used reinterpretations of Beatles tunes in various ways, providing through reinterpretation a different look at what these songs fundamentally represent, using these themes and variation to celebrate the classical canon of Western pop music while making the works unique.
