AC4 is the first album by the Swedish band AC4, first released by Ny Våg (Ny Våg in Sweden, 2009, and later on Deranged (DY in Canada, 2010, and on Shock h Records (CTX611CD) in Australia, 2011. All releases feature the same cover design, but the coloration varies from country to country.

AC4 is a hardcore band from Umeå, Sweden. Refused members Dennis Lyxzén and David Sandström had been talking about starting a new band for a long time. In the spring of 2008 Karl Backman had written songs for the new band and they started to rehearse. Jens Nordén had played with Lyxzén in pre-Refused straight edge hardcore band Step Forward (1987-1991) and since 1990 with Backman in punk band The Vectors. The "AC" in the name is the regional code for the Västerbotten province where Umeå is located.

The name AC4 is taken from the regional code of Vasterbotten, in which the group’s home town of Umea is located. None of the songs crack the two minute mark making this record a quick affair, and those looking for any innovative Refused musical revelations will be very disappointed as that is not what AC4 are about. This is a straight up punk albumin the genres most simplistic form, and it is a hell of a lot of fun.
