Both Sides Now is a concept album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell that was released in 2000. It is her 17th studio album. The album won two Grammy Awards in 2001 for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for the song "Both Sides, Now" and a Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. The album traces the progress of the modern relationship through Mitchell's orchestral renditions of classic jazz songs.
The nightingale, a migrant songbird, is celebrated in literature and music for the beauty of its song Composition. The opening, using either a clarinet or flute, has been picked up by others including, on this page, the Frank Sinatra recording. The veteran British musician Ian Hunter, former vocalist for Mott the Hoople, regularly performs it in his concerts; and it has appeared on two at least of his live recordings. A performance of the song by British actor Robert Lindsay was used as the theme to the British situation comedy series Nightingales. Faryl Smith released a cover of the song on.
Woodstock" is a popular song written by Joni Mitchell and included on her 1970 album Ladies of the Canyon. The song was covered by Matthews Southern Comfort and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and has become a counterculture anthem. The lyrics refer to the Woodstock festival of 1969. Joni Mitchell composed the song based on what she had heard from her then-boyfriend Graham Nash about the Woodstock Music and Art Festival.
Loretta Lynn, ‘All Time Greatest Hits’. Anyone who thinks a woman singing country music is cute should listen to Fist City, where Lynn threatens to beat down a woman if she doesn’t lay off her man. Seventies greats like Rated ‘X' and The Pill brought feminism to the honky-tonks. Where American white kids got the notion they could play the blues. This band had two kiler guitarists: Michael Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop. Vote for the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees. After the big-scale Born in the . this came as a shock – an album of stark, intimate, mostly acoustic confessionals. The newly wed superstar gets personal on adult love songs such as "One Step Up" and "Walk Like a Ma. The marriage didn't last – but the music does.
Since I play clarinet, and another friend in my school's band also enjoys this game and plays bass clarinet, I started arranging Undertale songs for a clarinet ensemble. Since I'm largely new to this, I arranged using a piano score I found by jestermusician and arranged the parts. No, give me more info.
The album is a reckoning reflective of culture at the time; Hissing is an album of women trying to find their real selves in a world that had groomed them for quiet obeisance to men. On "Harry's House" Mitchell sings of a curdling domestic scene, of wives who "paper the walls to keep their gut reactions hi. . Inspired by the rhythms of Brazilian music, Mitchell issued the experimental double-album Don Juan's Reckless Daughter in '77. Her experiments went further than just musical; she appears in brownface and an afro wig as a man on the cover.

Sad, spare, and beautiful, Blue is the quintessential confessional singer/songwriter album. At the same time that songs like "Little Green" (about a child given up for adoption) and the title cut (a hymn to salvation supposedly penned for James Taylor) raise the stakes of confessional folk-pop to new levels of honesty and openness, Mitchell's music moves beyond the constraints of acoustic folk into more intricate and diverse territory, setting the stage for.
