Paul Piché: I remember perfectly the moment when I got the inspiration for this song. I was riding my car on Saint-Joseph Boulevard and, when I turned onto Christophe-Colomb, the first two sentences popped up in my mind. I immediately stopped my old beater to jot them down. I was emblematic of how I felt about spring, back then: an appreciation for that season, mixed with the feeling of missing winter. I think everyone in Québec identifies with that song.
