Françoise Hardy is the second studio album of the French popular singer Françoise Hardy, released in October 1963 on LP by French label Disques Vogue (FH 1). Like of Hardy's earlier album, the album was released with no title, except for her name on the cover, and this album colloquially become known by the title of its most successful song, "Le Premier Bonheur du jour" ("The First Joy of the Day").

Françoise Madeleine Hardy (French: ; born 17 January 1944) is a French singer-songwriter. She made her musical debut in the early 1960s on Disques Vogue and found immediate success with her song "Tous les garçons et les filles"  .

The Story series, with three separate volumes covering the period from 1962-1967, presents this immensely popular French chanteuse at her best. This first volume, which features 20 songs, is perhaps the most innocuous of the lot, which isn't to say it isn't good. Her 1962 single "Le Temps De L'Amour" is perhaps her best recording, featuring snaky spy guitars and a minor-key melody in an unlikely but wonderful marriage of early-'60s rock and a film-noirish atmosphere.

Françoise Hardy signed her first contract with the record label Vogue in November 1961. In April 1962, shortly after finishing school, her first album, "Oh oh Chéri", appeared, with the title song written by Johnny Hallyday's writing duo. The flip side of the record, "Tous les garçons et les filles" became a huge success, which sold 2 million copies.

Françoise Hardy, born in 1944, is a French singer, actress, and astrologer who has become an iconic figure in fashion and music. Tous Les Garçons et Les Filles ( All the boys and girls ) was chic superstar Hardy’s first hit, eventually achieving multi-platinum status in France. Hardy, who wrote the song, narrates a story about the envies of watching others around you fall in love. Hardy went on to record the song in English, Italian, and German; it has been covered by The Dresden Dolls and the Eurythmics; and has featured in films such as Moonrise Kingdom and The Dreamers.

Hardy also recorded the song in Italian ("Il pretesto", 1968) and German ("Was mach' ich ohne dich", 1970; collected in the album Träume, 1970.
