Trevor Jones, whose score makes up the bulk of this "music from" soundtrack, in contrast seems determined to demonstrate his versatility, ranging from folk and Celtic music to rock, melodic pop, sweet orchestral themes, and choir singing, sometimes veering from one style to another within the same track. All scores lose something when heard without the visual information they are meant to accompany, but more than most, Jones' score on disc comes off more as a set of music cues than a unified work, which is not to say it doesn't have its interesting moments.
