Cargaa 2 features six more tracks of Lisbon producers combining African genres like kuduro, batida, kizomba, funaná and tarrachinha with Western house and techno sounds.
According to Warp, the EP’s name is a popular slang term among Lisbon’s young producers. Roughly meaning “hot” and “heavy”, they frequently use it to describe their music on SoundCloud comments, mixes and even in track titles.
