Tommy Tedesco (born July 3, 1930, Niagara Falls, New York, died November 10, 1997, Northridge, California was best known as a guitarist. He also played bouzouki, balalaika, banjo, mandolin, mandola and other string instruments. Tommy Tedesco, studio musician, dies at age 67 (S. Tommy Tedesco, a studio musician whose guitar-playing artistry was heard on hundreds of recordings including many by Phil Spector, the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald as well as on such television themes as ''Bonanza,'' died on Monday at his home in suburban Northridge, Calif. He was 67. The cause was lung cancer, said his son Denny.

For three decades, Tommy Tedesco, like so many of the musicians on Brian's records, has played on dozens of hits, TV themes and major motion picture soundtracks. In the 1960s, Tommy briefly stepped into the spotlight with Tommy Tedesco's Twanging Twelve Great Hits, a record he calls "the funniest thing never heard, the lowest thing ever made on guitar. In the 1980s, Tommy did record several well-received albums of jazz guitar.
