The Who Hits 50! is a compilation of singles by the English rock band The Who, released in 2014 by Polydor Records. The two-disc set contains every single released by the band in the United Kingdom, with the exceptions of: "A Legal Matter" and "La-La-La-Lies" from 1966; and "Long Live Rock" and the remake of "I'm One" from 1979.

Here are the 50 records that defined our year. 50. Bomba Estéreo, ‘Amanecer’. Newsom's first album since her star-turn in Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice scales back some of the wide-ranging orchestrations of her last album, 2010's three-disc opus Have One On Me; this time, she tackles big themes like history, mortality, memory, love, time and World War IV over some of the homiest folk-rock melodies she's ever. The big hit was "Where Are Ü Now," the inescapable single that redeemed Justin Bieber's career.

50 YEARS-DON’T STOP also highlights the talented musicians who have recorded under the Fleetwood Mac banner over the years, including Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jeremey Spencer, John McVie, Danny Kirwan, Christine McVie, Bob Welch, Bob Weston, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Billy Burnette, Rick Vito, Dave Mason, and Bekka Bramlett. This collection is an impressive representation of Fleetwood Mac's contributions over its fifty years, and could have easily been four discs instead of three. I'm more familiar with the work on discs two and three, but I have listened two disc one all the way through and I have to admit I now want to go dig up all these albums and give them a spin. The first disc is a fascinating journey through Fleetwood Mac's previous incarnations from 1967-1974.

It introduced everyone to the ‘Air Raid Siren’ – that’s Bruce Dickinson, obviously – and completely nailed Maiden’s swashbuckling, gung-ho approach and insane levels of energy in just under four minutes of triumphant, euphoric heavy metal abandon. It’s still ridiculously exciting 35 years later, despite regularly falling from favour in the band’s live sets.

You can’t move for 50th anniversaries right now and so Fleetwood Mac will celebrate a half century of music in November with 50 Years: Don’t Stop a 50-song collection that explores the group’s entire career, from its early days playing the blues, to the superstardom and rock/pop of the late 1970s, 1980s and beyond. The 50 tracks span from 1968 to 2013 and that means music from every incarnation of the band with musicians such as Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jeremey Spencer, John McVie, Danny Kirwan, Christine McVie, Bob Welch, Bob Weston, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Billy Burnette, Rick.
