Gladys Mills, née Gladys Jordan (29 August 1918 – 24 February 1978), known as Mrs Mills, was an English pianist who was active in the 1960s and 1970s, and who released many records. Her repertoire included many sing-along and party tunes made popular in the music hall. Mills was born in Beckton, East London, England. Her uncle Henry was a harpist and her mother was the main influence in developing her musical ability. She took piano lessons from the age of 3½ to the age of seven.
Mrs Mills poses behind a rather smart white grand piano for the 'More Music For Anytime' album from July 1971. Mrs Mills Music Hall Party from January 1972. The October 1972 release of 'Another Flippin' Party' saw Gladys standing around with a bunch of penguins. And why not. A particularly fine set of photos of Mrs Mills graces the cover of 'Anytime Is Party Time' from July 1972. Mrs Mills enjoying a tea party with two chimpanzees! We've no idea either, but she seems to be enjoying herself. The album was released in 1973.

Mrs Mills was discovered while working as the superintendent of the typing pool in the Paymaster General’s office in London in the early 60s. Her catchy piano style and jolly, happy-go-lucky personality won over a talent scout who saw her performing at a Woodford Golf Club dance near her Essex home in Loughton in December 1961. After signing a management contract to Eric Easton (who later managed The Dave Clark Five and The Rolling Stones), Mrs Mills was snapped up by the Beatles’ record label Parlophone. Her first single – Mrs Mills Medley – entered the UK Top Twenty, and.
