David Bowie is the second studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released under that title by Philips in the UK, and as Man of Words/Man of Music by Mercury in the US, on 14 November 1969. It was reissued in 1972 by RCA Records as Space Oddity (the title of the opening track, which had reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart). Space Oddity was the name used for CD releases of the album in 1984, 1990 and 1999, but it reverted to the original, eponymous title for 2009 and 2015 reissues.

This remix is very close to the final album version. The bass lines seem to be a bit more prominent in the mix and the overall sound is a little less muddy. It is unknown who did this remix. It is rumored that this is actually an old mix from around the Hot Space time period". Info taken from ww. ueenVault.
David Bowie and John Lennon met at a party thrown by Elizabeth Taylor - to break the ice, Bowie told Lennon that he had everything he'd ever made, except the Beatles. A few months later, in the early days of 1975, they were both in New York: Bowie, who was working on the Young Americans album, invited Lennon to the studio to play on a cover of "Across the Universe. Lennon, who had never been happy with the Beatles' version of that song, accepted. During his visit, they started jamming, and guitarist Carlos Alomar pulled out an extremely funky guitar lick

Inner portrait of David Bowie by Jimmy King. Released: March 2013 Label: Sony/RCA Producers: David Bowie, Tony Visconti. The boys ride their Riga 1's Upon the little hill Such sadness and grief The trees die standing That's where we made our trysts And struggled with our guns Would you still love me If the clocks could go backwards The girls would fill with blood and The grass would be green again Remember the dead They were so great Some.
It's not the most celebrated Bowie album – that would be The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars or Low – but it's been my favourite right from the moment I heard it, aged 16. The sleeve alone has a huge sense of occasion, with bold red typography that omits the spaces between the words, and a glorious picture of a drip-thin Bowie emerging from a spacecraft, a still from his film The Man Who Fell to Earth. Then there's the mythology. That such a monumental opener doesn't overshadow the rest of the album shows how much Bowie was on fire. Golden Years – a big hit in both the UK and US – refines the "plastic soul" of previous album Young Americans into something suave and addictive. Stay is savage funk deconstructed by brilliant, if audibly wired, musicians.
Low is the 11th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on RCA Records on 14 January 1977. Recorded following Bowie's move to West Berlin after a period of drug addiction and personal instability, Low became the first of three collaborations with musician Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti, later termed the "Berlin Trilogy"
