On the top deck of the 476 heading back to my freezing flat earlier this afternoon I got the following text: Hi Bill - it's N- from Newsnight - hope you are well and don't mind me contacting you direct. Yours, Bill Drummond. It is now several hours later and my flat is still freezing – the reason for this is that the boiler has broken and for some reason I am procrastinating about calling an engineer. And for some perverted reason I want to embrace the cold. I decide to watch the first two films I did for the Punk Britannia programme back in 2012. The first was called The Birth Of Punk and the second The Death Of Punk.

The Bill Evans Album is an album by the jazz pianist Bill Evans, released in 1971. At the Grammy Awards of 1972, The Bill Evans Album won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo and the Best Jazz Performance by a Group awards. The Bill Evans Memorial Library states it is the first recording in which Evans used a Fender Rhodes piano. The Bill Evans Album was reissued with three bonus alternative tracks by Sony in 2005. The album allows focus on the group’s blend of folk and punk, as well as Laura’s fiery and passionate vocal delivery. Lyrically, the band throws back to punk’s politically charged roots with anarchist leanings being a prominent theme, but instead of the sarcasm and irony that charged many of punk’s earliest bands, Against Me! throws itself sincerely behind the message of every track on the album. Sincerity is in very short supply nowadays, and Against Me! serves as a constant reminder as to why it is needed. With its perfect combination of punk and narrative nostalgia, the album propelled the band toward opening gigs for Social Distortion and The Boss, himself.

Great beat drops and fills, punchy and crisp kicks and bass combos and a very addictive vocal sample pave way to a stunning Tech trance melody and very bouncy drop. The fx shots and fills throughout are effective and we find it very hard to criticise anything within this production. This is an absolute monster.
