Sound Theories Vol. I & II is a 2007 album by American guitarist Steve Vai. The album was recorded with the Metropole Orchestra in Netherlands in mid-2004/2005 and released on June 26, 2007. Volume I features Vai playing guitar with the orchestra, which has itself earned worldwide acclaim by backing artists ranging from Mike Keneally, Terry Bozzio, Tony Bennett and Natalie Cole to Nancy Wilson and the Yellowjackets.
Album released today 4/21/17. Just love this great music of my youth. Whomever picks these has great taste. I admit that my husband was the one who introduced me to the Guardians of the Galaxy movie back in 2014 which indirectly influenced my curiosity to check out the music from the first movie and now the second movie. This movie soundtrack of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 (curated by Hollywood Records) has an upbeat mix of various vintage music. sounds dating back as far as the 70s from a wide variety of bands/music groups.
