Wonderful Wonderful is the fifth studio album by American rock band The Killers. It was released September 22nd via Island Records, five years after their previous album, Battle Born. Brandon Flowers described the album to be about what it means to be a man. In your head it’s about being tough and bringing home the bacon, but what I’ve come to find is it’s really more about empathy and compassion. The lead single from the album, The Man, was released on June 14th 2017.
a breathtakingly raw album. Kaada is the best thing to come out of Norway since Leif Erikson set sail for America. Never without genius. Color this the best record of the year. If you think you've heard everything, chances are you haven't heard anything like this.
The album features appearances by Tom Waits, PJ Harvey, John Parish, Nina Persson and Dave Fridmann. It was the band's most successful album commercially, selling over 63,000 copies.
Inside the Killers' new album Wonderful Wonderful: 'It’s the closest thing we’ve done to Sam’s Town'. Inside the Killers' new album Wonderful Wonderful: 'It’s the closest thing we’ve done to Sam’s Town'. Brandon Flowers and Co. take EW behind the scenes of their fifth LP, due in September. Lyrically, the new songs grapple with what it means to be a man. In your head it’s about being tough and bringing home the bacon, but what I’ve come to find is it’s really more about empathy and compassion, says Flowers, now 36. So on the pulse-spiking Tyson vs. Douglas, named for the 1990 boxing match that saw then-champion Mike Tyson lose to Buster Douglas in a shocking upset, Flowers explores what it’s like to watch a hero fall. As the father of three boys, it’s a subject that hits close to home.
It's where your interests connect you with your people. was too damn early for anyone to be fully awake. he saw isak stretch his arms above his head and make that high pitched whiny noise. he saw isak hum the postman pat theme song while waiting for the boy squad to show up at lunch. he saw isak struggle with his locker and completely destroy his books every single day. he saw. all these stupid things people do when they think no one’s looking and he was completely mesmerized by it. skam-obsessed.
It's a Wonderful Life is a strong offering for Sparklehorse, largely shaking off the excesses of past efforts (maddening Tom Waits collaboration aside) in favor of cohesion and structure.
Only in the late 1970s did it find its audience through repeated TV showings. Frank Capra's masterwork deserves its status as a feel-good communal event, but it is also one of the most fascinating films in the American cinema, a multilayered work of Dickensian density. Eventually it gets to be too much and our hero contemplates suicide because he doesn't feel that he had accomplished anything. This period in the film is where Stewart really shows his depth as an actor. He is often known for his awww shucks characters, but he is really impressive during the characters darkest moments.
