I Robot is the second studio album by English progressive rock band The Alan Parsons Project, released on 1 June 1977 by Arista Records. The album draws conceptually on author Isaac Asimov's science fiction Robot trilogy, exploring philosophical themes regarding artificial intelligence. It was re-released on vinyl and cassette tape in 1984 and on CD 2007.
I, Robot – Et Cetera. Label: Immigrant Sun Records – KILL 0022-2. Tracks 1-2 released on the Immigrant Sun Records I, Robot/The Cable Car Theory split 7", recorded at the Evil Studios in Albany. Liner notes state track 3 also appears on the Cable Car Theory split, but it was in fact an unreleased track. Tracks 4-7 released on the GoldtoothRecords Self Titled 7", recorded at the Keap Street Studio.
