As songwriters, the Carbonas were incredibly prolific, gradually developing from a lo-fi treble blast (a la Rip-Off Records) into a finely tuned Euro-punk steamroller, and drummer/producer Dave Rahn was there recording it all. For the past decade, however, many of these tracks languished on 4-track cassettes, hard drives, and out-of-print singles and compilations.

Staring out with a fierce, blurry sound on their 2003 debut album, Scene Killer, the band managed to become tighter and better focused with time, and their final album, 2007's The Carbonas, found them sounding more . Shortly after Greene left Atlanta, the band recruited guitarist Clay Kilbourne (aka Claydolph Hipster), and this lineup cut a three-song 7" for the Die Slaughterhaus label, "I'm a Stray"/"Don't Let On''/"Push Me," that dropped in 2003.
