Rebel Kind's full-band debut album, Today, was released by Urinal Cake Records in 2014. In early 2016, Wetli released a solo EP titled Let's Keep Things Weird, featuring contributions from Fellows and Salant. At the end of the year, Urinal Cake released Rebel Kind's Just for Fools LP. Alex Glendering of Deadbeat Beat provided backup vocals and guitar on some songs, and he ended up becoming the band's fourth member.

It was the first album that featured Harley's name ahead of the band's (the band was previously known simply as Cockney Rebel).
