Buzzcocks - The Way album flac

Buzzcocks is the seventh studio album by English pop punk band Buzzcocks. It was released on 18 March 2003 by record label Merge. Buzzcocks has received a mixed-to-favourable response from critics.

On 1 May 2014, Buzzcocks released the album The Way via PledgeMusic. On 13 September 2014 Buzzcocks played "a brief but triumphant set" at Riot Fest 2014 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In October 2014 Buzzcocks toured the . for three weeks with The Dollyrots as main support. In 2016, the band embarked on their 40th-anniversary tour (dubbed "Buzzcocks 40"). Buzzcocks' name was combined with the title of the Sex Pistols album Never Mind the Bollocks to create the title of the long-running UK comedy TV panel game show Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

The Buzzcocks don’t belong to the 21st century, and they would probably be the first to tell you that. These boys belong to an era of fast cars and loud guitars, of radio singles and B-sides played at 45 revolutions per minute. Never has this been more apparent than on The Way, the Buzzcocks’ ninth studio album and sixth since they reformed in 1989.

The Buzzcocks haven't lost their touch as a live act in the 21st century, but The Way makes it clear these guys need to recharge their creative batteries before they attempt another studio album.

Buzzcocks’ most recent album was 2006’s solid Flat-Pack Philosophy, but those intervening eight years don’t mean much in Buzzcocks-time. Shelley, Diggle, and their shifting rhythm section (now comprising Chris Remington and Danny Farrante) have taken long breaks before, starting with the band’s original dissolution in 1981. If anything, The Way is a chance to flaunt the fruits of their latest rejuvenation. That chance is only barely taken. The album alternates neatly between Shelley- and Diggle-sung tracks, and Shelley’s songs mostly hover in the mediocre range

The album marks the debut of Chris Remmington on bass; drummer Danny Farrant has been with the Buzzcocks since 2006. Shelley’s Keep On Believing kicks off the album in strong form, a bracing slice of edge power pop that’s classic Buzzcocks. People Are Strange Machines is a wry look at relationships, which you might not immediately realize, as it’s set to a jaunty beat, laced throughout by a stinging guitar line.
