It's a shame Lone Justice broke up after this album, I would have loved to have seen what direction they would have gone. But the record execs had spied in the female singer songwriter a rare and unique talent, her name is Maria McKee and went onto enjoy solo success after the break up of the band - but this album is just superb. Shelter sounds a bit 80's but in this case that's no bad thing, the lyrics are thoughtful and well crafted and McKee's voice sings through clear and powerfully, some tracks are quite rocky and pacey whilst others remain more balladic - just perfect to dust down once in a while and stir the soul a little.
