Between 1938 and 1944, Glenn Miller and His Orchestra released 266 singles on the monaural ten-inch shellac 78 rpm format. Their studio output comprised a variety of musical styles inside of the Swing genre, including ballads, band chants, dance instrumentals, novelty tracks, songs adapted from motion pictures, and, as the Second World War approached, patriotic music.

This 22-track import CD presents recordings by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra originally released on the Bluebird and RCA Victor labels between 1939 and 1944. Miller was so popular that most of these recordings, even the non-hits, are at least moderately well-known and occasionally reissued on CD.
