Paola e Chiara was an Italian pop music duo consisting of Paola and Chiara Iezzi, two sisters, born in Milan. They are the best selling female Italian group with over five million records sold. Their national career began when the manager of Max Pezzali's pop band 883 saw the sisters playing in Milan, and signed them to the band. The sisters' career as "Paola e Chiara" began in 1997 when they parted from 883.

Paola & Chiara are two sisters from Milano, Italy, with a passion for music. They compose all their songs, even their debut single "Amici come prima" (1997, Friends like yesterday). With this song they won the Sanremo Festival in the "New Artists" category, and later in the year they performed "Ti vada o no" (If it's okay for you or not), the Italian version of "I won't say" for the Disney's release "Hercules". They took all the best and the worst in international pop and produced a great album. Television" is their third album, released on April 2000 and including one of the most enjoyable pop-dance songs ever produced in Italy: "Vamos a bailar" (Let's go dancing). This track has been a huge hit in its country, so that a shy English version has been released, with lyrics written by former member of Spandau Ballet, Gary Kemp.
