Formed in the summer of 1998, in Hungary, Honeyball became reality after Norbi Mérges and Tomi Illés spent years toiling in different bands playing many different styles of music. The twosome experimented with different kinds of music, settling into punk. Balázs Keimer joined up with Norbi and Tomi in 1996, and after a few years of experimentation, their sound evolved into the post-punk ska sound that they are well known for in Hungary.
The ska-punk band has acquired its 9th member the previous year, accomplished with a brass section, Caribbean percussions, a dj and a beautiful female singer. Mixing ska, punk and reggae elements it’s a unique group on the Hungarian music scene.
