Halcyon Steel Orchestra perform during the 2013 Antigua & Barbuda Panorama. Opening the competition segment and with new business associate Digicel on board, Halcyon was first on stage with ninety players, striking up and setting the pace around 9:00 . with a vibrant delivery of King Short Shirt’s Jammin’. The piece was arranged by champion veteran arranger Victor Babu Samuel who worked the stage out front along the full length of the band, whose members were attired in brilliant yellow outfits trimmed with red piping  . Up next was Gemonites Steel Orchestra, who last triumphed in the national Panorama in 2005.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – For the first time since Antigua & Barbuda’s staging of the Panorama competition, joint winners have been declared. But in quick response, Hell’s Gate spokesperson Stafford Joseph said the band will hold off accepting the revised decision. We won’t accept anything coming from the minister as bona fide, Joseph said when contacted by OBSERVER Media.

In the Mood is a studio album by jazz trumpeter Chet Baker and the Mariachi Brass recorded in 1966 and released on the World Pacific label. Most of the songs were previously recorded by Glenn Miller from 1939 to 1942. The exception is the theme song from the television show The Dating Game, which began airing in 1965

Antigua and Barbuda is a Caribbean nation in the Lesser Antilles island chain. Of these, steeldrum and calypso are the most integral parts of modern Antiguan popular music; both styles are imported from the music of Trinidad and Tobago. Documented music in Antigua and Barbuda began only with the discovery of Antigua, then populated by Arawak and Caribs, by Christopher Columbus in 1493. The islands' early music, however, remains little studied.
