First up is David ‘Fathead’ Newman’s 1978 Jazz-funk, Disco killer ‘Keep the dream alive’ which is a drum and flute driven funk monster, lovingly extended and amended – watch out for the midway drum break, you won’t be disappointed. On the inside is the relentless bass twisting, rhythm guitar focused ‘Ups and downs’ with a vocal line and brass section that will leave you wanting more.
