What an exellent pressing! Blows the CD version by miles! I thought I knew this album very well but the clarity and dynamics this pressing brings reveals so much more detail in every song. Crystal clear cymbals, punchy drums, very nice low end, great soundstage. And: no fading in the next song so you can enjoy every single one until the end. Dead End Kings is a further exploration of the deeply atmospheric, melodic brand of "dark rock" offered on the earlier recording, but where the former was so focused on being an album that was greater than the sum of its parts, the latter is a collection of tightly written songs that work in virtually any sequential context, making for a more compelling listen.

Dead End is a 2003 French horror drama film written and directed by Jean-Baptiste Andrea and Fabrice Canepa. It tells the story of a dysfunctional family who find themselves on a neverending road in the middle of a forest during a routine drive on Christmas Eve. Driving on Christmas Eve with his family, Frank Harrington decides to take a short cut through a remote location. In the car with him: his wife Laura, his son, Richard, his daughter, Marion, and her boyfriend, Brad.
