When Paul Gilbert joined Mr. Big, Parrish rented a room in Gilbert's Los Angeles home and house-sat for him when Gilbert would go on tour, simultaneously recording demos in Gilbert's home studio. In 1995, Parrish played guitar in Kevin Gilbert's touring band in support of Gilbert's Thud album. In 2000, Parrish was simultaneously playing in various bands and acting in the production "Rockalypse Now", a play written by future Thornbirds bassist and occasional Steel Panther songwriter Dean Cameron. Around this time, he and Ralph Saenz started glam metal cover band Metal Shop as the characters Rikki Ratchet and Michael Diamond, respectively, and appeared in a Discover card commercial as "Danger.

Paul McCartney and Wings, also known simply as Wings, were an English rock band that recorded many songs during their career. Between 1971 and 1981, they released seven studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, and twenty-seven singles. After their break-up, three more singles, another compilation album, as well as reissues of their original studio albums with added bonus tracks have been released.

King’s first album for the Stax label combines his hard, unflashy guitar playing with the sleek sound of the label’s house band, Booker T. and the MG’s. Hits such as Crosscut Saw and Laundromat Blues earned King a new rock & roll audience. EPMD, ‘Strictly Business’. In the summer of '88, Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith, . EPMD (Erick and Parrish Making Dollars), rolled out of Long Island with a new style of slow-grooving hip-hop funk. Cut in the era before artists cleared their samples, the title jam even pilfers "I Shot the Sheriff.

A list of the very best songs from every Paul McCartney studio project. True, the former Beatles star went on to notch nine No. 1 songs as a solo star and leader of Wings. In all, he's claimed 23 Top 10 smashes, most recently with "FourFiveSeconds," a 2015 collaboration with Rihanna and Kanye West that rose to No. 4. But, a scant four of those big hits made our list. Elsewhere, we delve into treasured deep cuts, forgotten gems and also-ran singles.

Sound Sculptures Vol 1 ‎(2xCD, Album, RP). Sound Signature, Sound Signature. Massive album from the Detroit Don, this set contains some of his finest beats. Proving here that he can turn his hand to a number of different styles and still sound original is testament to his class. Highlights include the low slung ‘Soul Control’ sounding kinda like a slowed down ‘Voodoo Ray’ via Detroit with added melancholy and tension, ‘The Rink’ a Moodymann style funk groove and ‘Synthetic Flemm’ a slow burning, mutating Acid Monster.

Bittersweet Delicate Gentle Intimate Yearning. Peter, Paul and Mary. The Peter, Paul and Mary Album. This was the first Peter, Paul & Mary album to include significant additional instrumentation other than the usual acoustic guitars. It wasn't exactly folk-rock, as there were drums on just three tracks. It was more folk-rockish folk, particularly as the rotating cast of backup players included musicians who had played with Bob Dylan (Mike Bloomfield, Kenneth Buttrey, Charlie McCoy, Bobby Gregg, Al Kooper) and Ian & Sylvia (bassists Bill Lee and Ross Savakus).

Second album which reeks with solemn introspection...the forest of his mind has changed for autumn-colours and Dreams seem to have touched ground...again some great orchestrations...
