Barton Lee Hazlewood (July 9, 1929 – August 4, 2007) was an American country and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, most widely known for his work with guitarist Duane Eddy during the late 1950s and singer Nancy Sinatra in the 1960s. Hazlewood had a distinctive baritone voice that added a resonance to his music

Barton Lee Hazlewood was born on the 9th of July 1929 in the small village of Mannford (Oklahoma) as first child of Gabe and Eva Lee Hazlewood. He has one sister (Sara) who was born in 1935. His father was an oilman, a so-called wildcatter, and occasionally promoted dances by booking national acts. The two had auditioned for Lee at the station singing with a Louvin Brothers harmony vocal style and ended up performing every week for 15 minutes. The duo even formed a band, The Pinal County Twisters and their first job was a show at the Pinal County Fair after much encouragement from mentor Lee Hazlewood. By late 1954 Lee often drove Jimmy and Duane to Phoenix in his 1952 Pontiac convertible for Saturday night country music shows at Madison Square Garden.

Willie Jones III (born June 8, 1968 in Los Angeles, California) is a jazz drummer. He has played, toured, and recorded with Horace Silver, Roy Hargrove, Hank Jones, Cedar Walton, and Herbie Hancock. He played on Arturo Sandoval's Grammy-winning album Hot House (1998). Jones' father, also named Willie Jones, was a pianist, composer and arranger, who moved to Los Angeles from Jacksonville in 1961.

Produced by Booker T. Jones, Willie Nelson's 1978 Stardust album is a subtle masterpiece that finds the Austin icon giving voice to Tin Pan Alley classics. Though it seemed like an unlikely undertaking at the time, Stardust was a huge smash, Nelson's delivery perfectly suited to the album's delicate arrangements and familiar melodies. It's a reference point of Americana and one of the Red Headed Stranger's landmark albums, taking "crossover country" in a whole new direction.

Jones managed to rework the track and was eventually hired by the producer Mickie Most to work on many of his future sessions, including those with Nico, Tom Jones and Wayne Fontana. Arranged music for Jimmy Page’s lone solo Yardbirds studio album, Little Games, in 1967. Jimmy Page quit the full-time session life once and for all in the summer of 1966 to join up with his childhood friend Jeff Beck as the second guitarist in the Yardbirds. The happening was avant-garde to the extreme, with Jones joining the band’s guitarists Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore, and swapping frantically between bass and keyboard passages. As the hour-long performance progressed, Jones kept his foot pressed almost constantly on a pedal that controlled the pitch, tone and volume of his bass sound.
