Selah Sue is the eponymous debut album of Belgian musician and songwriter Selah Sue, released on 4 March 2011 in Belgium. It has peaked to number one on the Belgium Albums Chart, and has also charted in the Netherlands, France, Poland and Switzerland. The album has sold more than 720,000 copies to date, and has been certified double platinum by the UPFI in France.

Last Friday I bought Hollie Cook's debut album after hearing the opening track on side two at maximum volume in my favourite reggae vinyl shop. The track employs a heavy riddim by Scientist, the opener of his album 'Scientist Wins the World Cup'. You may have heard this riddim as the backing of Johnny Osbourne's 'Love Is Universal'. Anyways, Hollie's version was so strong and beautifully sung, that I needed to have the album. It has a classic reggae production, with lush arrangements with lots of keyboards and brass

Just a Try" is a wonderful album, a blend of electronic sound and acoustic instrumentation with very little percussion and almost no vocals. It has elements of symphonic and folk and electronic music. While the segments are tracked in relatively short 2-6 minutes pieces, the album for me is one long piece of music. Ranging from purely acoustic guitar shorts to piano/keyboard scenes to occasional soaring electric guitar leads, the album feels like Ant Phillips met Oldfield and talked him into making a Tolkien soundtrack
