Maria Lawson is the self-titled debut studio album from British X Factor contestant, Maria Lawson. It reached number 41 on the UK Albums Chart and sold 19,000 copies. The album includes its only single, "Sleepwalking", and covers of Lamya's "Black Mona Lisa" and Liberty X's "The Poet". A cover of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful", which she performed during her run on The X Factor, is included as a bonus track. When William Lawson set out to create a big, bold whisky in 1849, he did things his wa. It’s something William Lawson never had a use for.  Except as a doorstop. Or for swotting midges (they grow big around here). Because the whisky he created in 1849 did things differently. It used Scottish malts, but none of the peat or smoke of more traditional Scotch. Even today, unlike the rest, we ferment our Macduff Glen Deveron single malt for a short time and distil it fast. Then blend it with strong malts and grain whiskies for a big, bold flavour. Yes, we still do things our way, nobody else’s. William himself would approve.
