Peter John Haycock (4 March 1951 – 30 October 2013) was an English musician and film score composer. He began his career as lead guitarist, vocalist, and founding member of the Climax Blues Band. Haycock was born in Stafford, and here he attended St. John's Primary School and King Edward VI Boys Grammar School. As a child, he was impressed by the guitar solos of Hank Marvin of The Shadows.
Sadly, Pete Haycock passed away last year, and this guitar is from his estate. It is certified as being previously owned by both Collins and Haycock, and would make an outstanding addition to any guitarist's collection. These photos represent the auction page from the Christie's catalog, the original Firebird case (note faded Lynyrd Skynyrd stencils, re-stenciled Climax with the ownership change), and a shot of Pete Haycock playing this guitar, circa late 1970s.
