Bill Cosby is a Very Funny Fellow. Right! is the debut album release by Bill Cosby. It was recorded live at the nightclub The Bitter End in New York City's Greenwich Village during early 1963. The album includes three sketches about Noah.
He covers a lot of ground: sports, subways and the absurdities of youth. The set’s anchor is a dialogue between God and an exasperated Noah, who is fed up with his ark. When you’re not doubled over in laughter, soak up The Coz’s delivery: swift and rhythmic, never manic. He already possessed a powerful command of his craft. Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow, Right? Bill Cosby.
Album Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow. Right! Karate Lyrics.
The album was a hit upon release, though merely a precursor to Cosby's future popularity and album success on the Warner Bros. Cosby's storytelling style and characters were undeveloped at this stage but his good-natured conversational approach to the surreality of everyday life was nonetheless popular with the public. From 1963's Very Funny Fellow Right through 1968's Russell My Brother LP's, Bill racked up an incredible catalog of masterpiece comedy albums, all of which were my only spoken word albums, nestled in with my Beatles, Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Mamas & Papas, Association, Grass Roots, and eventually Airplane, Dead, and Doors albums. Cosby albums were keepers, often brought out to relive gags and laughs with friends and family. His humor worked for all ages, all genders and ethnicities, Bill Cosby WAS a very funny fellow, Right!
How funny was Cosby when we spoke? His anecdote about California politico Willie Brown going to the Obama inauguration and finding tears running down his face without even realizing it applies here too. Sometimes you don’t even know you’re crying, as in the following exchange . You understand? Uh huh – yeah, yeah. And we got a rhythm section: Elvin Jone. nd I got Ron Carter.
