One Man, Two Guvnors is a play by Richard Bean, an English adaptation of Servant of Two Masters (Italian: Il servitore di due padroni), a 1743 Commedia dell'arte style comedy play by the Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni. The play replaces the Italian period setting of the original with Brighton in 1963. The play opened at the National Theatre in 2011, toured in the UK and then opened in the West End in November 2011, with a subsequent Broadway opening in April 2012

Corden also thanked his fiancee’ Julia Carey, who he had his first child with last year. Sadly for those of us who haven’t seen him on Broadway yet, he’s scheduled to leave the show in September to marry Carey and to work on a new BBC comedy. I'm a Brit at heart but was somehow accidentally born in a tiny town in southern Tennessee. I currently live in Nashville and use my TARDIS to watch British TV. Basically, anything show with a panel is probably a fave. I seem to get therapy out of hearing British comedians rant.

Today’s special guest is James Corden, who earned his first Tony nomination playing the dim-witted Francis Henshall in over-the-top farce One Man, Two Guvnors. One Man, Two Guvnors. Articles Trending Now.

One Man, Two Guvnors, one massive hi. Here's David Benedict: "The production lifts audiences from mere happiness to eye-watering, comic hysteria. ceaseless connection with the audience – including with hapless individual theatregoers – is in the Dame Edna league. Hell, even the Sun mucks in. "Slapstick comedy, double entendres, an amazing cast and even a Corden xylophone solo amounts to staggering value for money and a proper old-fashioned giggle," declares its mighty Bizarre column.
