Neal Joseph Schon (born February 27, 1954) is an American rock guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist, best known for his work with the bands Journey (in which he is the only constant original member) and Bad English. He was a member of the rock band Santana before forming Journey, and was also an original member of Hardline. Schon was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame on August 23, 2013.
I love the pre-Steve Perry Journey albums, but this album - and 2012's The Calling - really lets Neal show off his guitar chops. This album is a bit more melodic than The Calling, but there are some first rate jams. I really like "Timeless Motion" and "I On U," while "Urban Angel" has a nice groove to it.

Neal Schon doesn't like to sit still for long. We recently learned that, in addition to his work with Journey, he has three albums in the works, one of which, 'So U,' will be released May 20. 'So U' is being described as a fusion and blues-inspired hard rock album, with Schon, bassist Marco Mendoza (Ted Nugent, Whitesnake) and Journey drummer Deen Castronovo sharing lead vocal duties on its nine tracks.
