Fantasia: Live in Tokyo is a double live album by British rock band Asia, released on 21 June 2007 in Japan by WHD Entertainment and on 26 June 2007 internationally by Eagle Records. Steve Rispin – audio mixing engineer (at Liscombe Park Studios, Buckinghamshire). Ray Staff – mastering engineer (at Alchemy Studios, London).
Fantasia: Live in Tokyo is an anniversary concert performed with all the original members: Geoff Downes, Carl Palmer, Steve Howe and John Wetton. Eagle Rock has issued the entire concert, on both on a double-CD as well as DVD. There are 18 cuts here, including the hits as well as tracks by the members' other bands such as "Roundabout" by Yes (that contains guitarist Howe) Downes' "Video Killed the Radio Star" from his stint with the Buggles, and Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man," (which was recorded by Emerson, Lake & Palmer)
Only for completionists (3%). This live album starts the appearance of the band at the concert with the nice song from debut album "Time Again". The audience stand up during this opening of the show. The opening (intro) part of this track is very memorable for me.

Taking note, Asia has delivered with Fantasia: Live In Tokyo. Granted, the Asia reunion hasn’t generated the frenzy surrounding the Police or Genesis, but Howe, Wetton, Downes and Palmer can still play circles around most of the competition. What makes their reunion (and the new CD and DVD) much more special is their open and honest acknowledgement of life before Asia. Obviously, for anyone who may have felt betrayed by the circumstances surrounding the 1983 Tokyo concert, this show at Shinjuku Koseinenkin Hall must restore some fragrance of emancipation. But that’s only if you really care about such things. In addition to faithful renditions of every song from the self-titled debut, The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and Don’t Cry, from the second album Alpha are presented as barebones acoustic numbers, adding yet another subtle dimension.
