A new version of Last. On Their Corner: The Best Of The Dells. Overview (current section).
Streetcorner Song by Jon Gorey, released 14 July 2000 There's a smiling man singing loud as he can On the corner of the street His hands are cold and he's growing old But he still taps his feet. He's playing a song he's known so long It brings him back in time. He knows some of the words but he's not so sure So he just makes it rhyme. His eyes have seen the hardest times His mother ran away and left him behind Still he knows how to make you smile If you just stop and listen for a while He says, "I've seen it all before Everybody always wanting more.
STREETCORNER folk lore. What follows is a true story from roughly 30+ years ago. I was hosting rehearsal of my newly formed singing group STREETCORNER at my home in Detroit. I had a female Rottweiler named Lani. I barely knew my new band mates, so I made no assumption as to their comfort around big dogs. As such, when they came over, I directed them to the basement and kept Lani upstairs. Also I was cooking a pot of chili upstairs ple of my new band mates were cigarette smokers
A streetcorner or street corner is the location which lies adjacent to an intersection of two roads.
