Ivan Guimarães Lins (born June 16, 1945) is a Latin Grammy-winning Brazilian musician. He has been an active performer and songwriter of Brazilian popular music (MPB) and jazz for over thirty years. His first hit, "Madalena", was recorded by Elis Regina in 1970. Love Dance", a hit in 1989, is one of the most recorded songs in musical history.

IVAN LINS is a jazz related pop/art song/folk latin jazz music artist. Renowned as a carioca songwriter, vocalist, and pianist, Ivan Lins recorded several albums for EMI Brasil and Reprise, as well as writing Brazilian standards. Born in 1945, Lins came to fame in Brazil in 1970 when Elis Regina recorded his song "Magdalena" for a hit. His worldwide debut, A Noite, appeared in 1979.

Testifying to Lins' importance as a composer is the frequency with which tribute albums and new covers of his compositions appear.
