Friedrich Gulda (16 May 1930 – 27 January 2000) was an Austrian pianist and composer who worked in both the classical and jazz fields. Born in Vienna the son of a teacher, Gulda began learning to play the piano from Felix Pazofsky at the Wiener Volkskonservatorium, aged 7. In 1942, he entered the Vienna Music Academy, where he studied piano and musical theory under Bruno Seidlhofer and Joseph Marx.

Friedrich Gulda Barbara Dennerlein. A live recording from the Munich Klaviersommer 1990. The famous pianist, composer and conductor Friedrich Gulda and the gifted Munich organist Barbara Dennerlein play an unusual duet for piano and organ. Both are familiar with various musical styles. The result is a new and inspiring music.

Friedrich Gulda: Mozart No End and the Paradise Band (1991).

Dennerlein's first album included four of her own titles. Her compositions vary from traditional blues schemes, romantic, melancholic ballads to tempo driven compositions with elements of swing, bebop, funk and Latin rhythms. 1991: (Friedrich Gulda) Mozart No End. 1992: That's Me and Solo.

1990: Hot Stuff and Barbara Dennerlein Duo (Bootleg). She began to play concerts aged 14, and the following year, she played in a jazz club for the first time. When leading her own bands, Dennerlein was often the youngest musician in the group, and she learned to cooperate with more experienced musicians. Her local reputation as the "Organ tornado from Munich" spread after her first TV appearances in 1982.
