Henry Fourès (born 17 May 1948) is a French historian of music and musician. Born in Coursan, Fourès first followed lessons of art history at the Paul Valéry University in Montpellier and musical studies at the conservatoire de Paris where he won his First Prizes in writing classes (harmony, counterpoint, fugue), musical analysis and composition. He then studied medieval musicology at the Berlin University of the Arts and the piano at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

In addition to studying the history of art in Montpellier, Henry Fourès followed music classes at the Paris Conservatory where he won First Prizes for harmony and counterpoint, analysis and composition. He completed his training at Berlin University (medieval musicology) and at the Vienna Academy (piano). Taking courses at the GRM from 1975 to 1977, Fourès was soon called upon to take on a role in the domain of teaching. In 1982 he was appointed inspector for the Direction de la Musique et de la Danse, his mission to deal with training and creation.

Embracing the open sexuality offered by Crosby and his wife Caresse, Cartier-Bresson fell into an intense sexual relationship with her that lasted until 1931. Two years after Harry Crosby died by suicide, Cartier-Bresson's affair with Caresse Crosby ended in 1931, leaving him broken-hearted. During conscription he read Conrad's Heart of Darkness.
