Gospel stalwart Andrae Crouch formed the Disciples in 1965, and that group remained one of the genre's finest until they disbanded in 1985. KEEP ON SINGIN' (1972) captures the Disciples at the height of their power, and represents both their fierce spiritual commitment and their contemporary take on traditional gospel (a musical choice that helped broaden their appeal to secular music listeners). The album was issued for the first time on CD, at long last, in 2008.
