Ambient music is a genre of music that puts an emphasis on tone and atmosphere over traditional musical structure or rhythm. Ambient music is said to evoke an "atmospheric", "visual" or "unobtrusive" quality. According to one of its pioneers Brian Eno, "Ambient music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting. The song was released as the second single from that album on November 19, 2007 (see 2007 in British music). The song charted at making it Athlete's lowest charting single to date, partly due to a lack of promotion, and partly due to UK Chart guidelines discounting sales of the EP version (thus only sales of the 7" were counted).

Ambient Auras is based around the dance floor, so much of the music has a lovely, upbeat quality to it, with some great beats surrounded by lovely, warm synths and samples. This is here you'll find the best version of Biosphere's "Baby Interphase," a driving and dark remix with heavier than expected beats. You'll also find a VERY rare piece by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons - the Chemical Brothers when they were trading under the stolen "Dust Brothers" moniker. A great purchase for fans of ambient, and of electronic music in general. Loads of really excellent ambient dub tunes that you can just relax to. Nothing heavy here but just laid back class tunes.

Ambient is the second studio album by American electronica musician Moby, released in August 1993 by record label Instinct. The album is composed of electronic ambient pieces, similar to Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works releases.
