Later pressings of this LP cut in Florida by KK Mastering (only Side B has matrix SOL 9003B) feature extended dub mixes of "Heartaches" and "My Last Love". I'm not sure when this version was released but I bought mine about 1991/92.
Do the Rock Steady is essentially their collected work, and it includes their biggest hit, a plea for leniency from a landlord called "Have Mercy Mr. Percy. Parks and Vernal have voices that were born to mesh, and everything here has a fresh and angelic feel, and it doesn't hurt, either, to be singing over those great Studio One rhythms, although few of these tracks have been versioned.
Rock Steady is the fifth studio album by American rock band No Doubt. It was released on December 11, 2001, by Interscope Records. The band began writing the album with initial recording sessions in Los Angeles and San Francisco, then traveled to London and Jamaica to work with various performers, songwriters, and producers. Sly & Robbie, The Neptunes, and William Orbit were among the many artists the band collaborated with on the album.

This album contains extended mixes (of track 1 "Do The Rock Steady", track 2 "My Last Love" and track 8 "Heartaches") and a track not found on the original release (track 12 "Mommy Didn't Know"). Many of the tracks feature overdubs added after the original release.
