Some are strong and pure of the Nana in her 30s and others are tremulous and obviously lacking in vocal strength and sound elderly. There is nothing wrong with sounding elderly but most artists avoid the stretch type songs and perform successfully with a nod to their age and a different arrangement of their songs. The cover also depicts a very youthful Nana and I had made the assumption that it was a collection of songs compiled from her huge career.

Nana Mouskouri became well-known throughout Europe for the song ‘’The White Rose of Athens’’, recorded first in German as ‘’Weiße Rosen aus Athen‘’. It became her first record to sell over one million copies. Later in 1963 she represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘’À force de prier‘’.
