The song was later included on Berry's 1962 album More Chuck Berry
It peaked at on Billboard's Pop Album Chart and on Billboard's Country Album Chart. It is considered to be a front-runner in the country rock music genre.

Linda Ronstadt’s extraordinary genre-hopping career encompassed more than two dozen studio LPs and several greatest-hits compilations but one format that had been missing from her discography until now was a live album.

The recent release of the first official live recording of Linda Ronstadt’s career, coming more than a decade after Parkinson’s disease forced her to abandon singing, is surprising on at least two fronts. For starters, this celebrated perfectionist is not a fan of live albums in general, much less any with her voice front and center. Live in Hollywood includes her distinctive interpretations of Chuck Berry’s Back in the USA, Roy Orbison’s Blue Bayou (don’t miss the spine-tingling final note of the last verse delivered en espanol), . Souther’s Faithless Love, Warren Zevon’s Poor Poor Pitiful Me, Clint Ballard’s ‘You’re No Good and Desperado, that last song written.
Linda Ronstadt possessed one of the great voices of her generation, but the singer says listening to her early work only makes her cringe. She sings, if briefly, when USA TODAY visits her San Francisco home. In the middle of a detailed discourse on the roots of American popular music, she mentions that singers who emerged from the African-American Baptist tradition were "belters, you know, like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Then suddenly she sings the opening line to Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come: "I was booorn by the rive.
