Tundra, part of Casas’ wider Siberian Fieldworks series of video essay films, is a contemplative journey exploring the life of a reindeer herder over a single 24-hour period. Set in the unforgiving Siberian Tundra the small band of herders eke out a simple existence against the majesty of an alien wilderness. It would be incorrect to describe Tundra as a documentary even though we do learn about the daily activities of the herders and their reindeer herd . Casas' own field recordings are mixed with the ambient overture of Escofet, crafting both magnificent and majestic soundscapes to parallel the wonders caught on film. Eight channels of natural sounds are bred with sixteen more for those processed. ore.
Ian Hunter is the first solo album by Ian Hunter, recorded following his departure from Mott the Hoople. Released in 1975, it is also the first of many solo albums on which he collaborated with Mick Ronson. The bassist, Geoff Appleby, was from Hull like Mick Ronson and they had played together in The Rats in the late 1960s.
