Roger Dean Miller (January 2, 1936 – October 25, 1992) was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, widely known for his d novelty songs and his chart-topping country and pop hits "King of the Road", "Dang Me", and "England Swings", all from the mid-1960s Nashville sound era. After growing up in Oklahoma and serving in the United States Army, Miller began his musical career as a songwriter in the late 1950s, writing such hits as "Billy Bayou" and "Home" for Jim Reeves.

This was true back in his heyday in the 1950s and '60s, when the country charts were full of songs he had written, but these songs endured: Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn both had hits with Miller tunes in the '90s ("Tall, Tall Trees" and "Husbands and Wives," respectively)

I don't understand the low ratings for this lp, I think it is a classic and shows the better side of Roger Miller.
