Muddy Waters' Hard Again contains all of the qualities I look for in music: humor, great playing and singing, originality, a strong point of view, and great songwriting. This one's got 'em all, and it's got them in spades. Many people who know much more about this kind of music than I do view Hard Again as some sort of comeback record for Muddy Waters. I don't know about that, but after I heard it, I went back and listened to all of Muddy Waters' recordings.
