Better known as a producer than as a musician, Creole Mass marks Martin Bisi's debut as a recording artist. Singing (in Spanish) and playing drums, Bisi's music bears the influence of the eclectic roster of artists he's produced; Fred Frith contributes guitar and hoedown fiddle on a cover of Hank Williams' "Kaw Liga," while Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth joins on at the other end of the spectrum for a rendition of Pink Floyd's "Money.

Martin Carthy is the debut solo album by English folk musician Martin Carthy, originally released in 1965 by Fontana Records and later re-issued by Topic Records. The album features Dave Swarbrick playing fiddle or mandolin on a number of the tracks. Swarbrick was not headlined on the album for contractual reasons as he was with the Ian Campbell Folk Group at the time with permission granted by Transatlantic Records.

Martin Bisi has been, in his words, a "performer, producer, Cultural Antagonist" since the early 80's when he was at the fore of the downtown NYC avant-rock scene. At a studio he started with Brian Eno, he has since realized classic albums by Sonic Youth, Swans, John Zorn, The Dresden Dolls, Foetus, Helmet, Boredoms, Herbie Hancock (Rockit), Serena Maneesh, Africa Bambaata, Material, White Zombie, Cop Shoot Cop, Michael Gira's Angels Of Light, Unsane and others.

Martin Bisi discography comprises 2 official albums. The latest album Ex-Nihilo was released in 2014. Martin Bisi: Ex-Nihilo. Martin Bisi: Creole Mass. Kansas In Argentina 7:51.
