In stark contrast to the appalling 'Powerful Love' this Vormawah/Brown composition the self penned tune has it all, delivering both powerful lyrics and stunning melody. This song about unlikely liaisons suffering the disapproving attentions of the neighbours but not giving a damn. 'the furtive glances and the looks they give, treating you like some kind of fugitive, but when confronted they just look surprised, don't they realise, we she things through different eyes, let them stare'. The song comes from a half decent album 'Too True' on Elektra records- the first half!!! Side one includes the brilliant Cops & Robbers, House Arrest (featured in the barbers scene in the film 'Renegades' with Lou Diamond Philips), Paint The Moonlight Black. Side two has its moments but wasn't really what Marc V was about and includes the dreadful 'Powerful Love'. Nevertheless Let Them Stare is a great song- here it!
